When it comes to cleaning windows, you just can’t begin with a damp cloth and a window cleaner. There are several other tools, which you need in order to carry out the window cleaning process. If you don’t know what those tools are, then continue reading the post until the end.

Essential Tools In Cleaning Windows

  1. A Good Sponge

A sponge is a sponge, if that is what you think, then, you are completely wrong. There are various types of sponges available on the market, but you need to buy a classic sponge, which consists of an abrasive side to handle any kind of grimy dirty surface. If you are unable to get this type of sponge, then you can opt for sponge cloths, which are like a hybrid of a sponge and towel. Alternatively, you can try silicone sponges or spaghetti sponges as well.

2. White Towels

Get a few white towels from a local store. The reason for getting white towels is that they always match, so you can know when they are dirty. Moreover, those can be easily bleached and disinfected, therefore, you don’t have to throw them after using for cleaning windows. If you don’t want to buy towels, then old T-shirts will also do the job for you.

3. Microfiber Cloths

If you are getting white towels, then make sure to get some microfiber cloths as well, as these can really boost the cleaning power. Microfiber has the capability to clean the surfaces all by itself or with the help of water. Moreover, it won’t leave any scratches or streaks behind, which is what we all need in the first place.

4. A Squeegee

You must have used these for keeping showers mold-free, however, these can also be used for cleaning windows as well. So, make sure you have a squeegee to clean windows.

5. A Bucket

Having a medium-sized bucket will allow you to stow your cleaning supplies, but also be used for mopping and various other household tasks.

6. A Spray Bottle

7. Proper Clothes

Cleaning windows is a task that can get dirty at times, so make sure you are not wearing your favorite T-shirt or trousers. Wear old clothes that you were looking to get rid of in the near future.
